a person, athlete, it is hard to put our thoughts into words, now you expect that to come through on a resume. A great idea you had for a client that you can’t write about cause you signed an NDA, NOPE. I have worked with pharmaceutical, satellite, healthcare and engineering firms, most ideas or creative can’t be discussed or shown. I have been in the industry for well over 25 years, in many different roles, always thinking that it would only make me more valuable. Always in a creative role, just learning different parts that made up a better whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Greg Scherzo had a great article about internet job post and how he hates them. I can’t agree more. You respond to a job post or a recruiter send your info into a job posting, the one thing you never receive is feedback. I have been on both sides of the fence, reviewing resume and applying. When I used a recruiter, they asked me why I did not chose that individual, I gave them feedback, not sure it was ever past on, I can say as a recruit I have never received feedback.
It’s hard to pick one from another by just looking at paper, how many times did I overlook that outstanding recruit? On the flip side I have given many artist, PM, coders, developers, SEO’s and animators a chance. Why, they interviewed well, I saw something in them that was not on their resume, commitment, not just to the arts but if they got the job, a commitment to the company, me, if hired. Some are still good friends to this day and I would hire them in a instant given the chance.
So what should someone do to get noticed, write about it, hollow out a walnut, add a hinge and clasp, line it with velvet and included a note that say’s “Aaron Usiskin in a nut shell!”, produce artwork for galleries or shows?
What would be acted upon?
