It\u2019s Being Automated."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/adhdux.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/UX_Isn_t_Dying_It_s_Evolving.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For years, the narrative has been the same.<br>AI is coming for UX.<br>Design roles will shrink.<br>Tools will replace designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s not what\u2019s happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UX is not dying.<br>It\u2019s being automated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And most designers are not ready for what that actually means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Work That Defined UX Is Disappearing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s be honest about what a large portion of UX work has been:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wireframes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User flows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Component layouts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic usability improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That work still matters.<br>But it is no longer scarce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI can now generate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full page layouts in seconds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Variations of flows instantly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research summaries at scale<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Design systems from prompts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Execution is becoming a commodity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when something becomes a commodity, it loses value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Real Shift: From Making to Deciding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The role of UX is not going away.<br>It is moving up the stack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designing interfaces<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designing decisions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where most designers are stuck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are still focused on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What the screen looks like<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where the button goes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the flow connects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>But the real leverage is now in answering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What should the user do next?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What should the system recommend?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What should be removed entirely?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>AI can generate options.<br>UX defines which options matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI Does Not Replace UX. It Removes Weak UX<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AI is not eliminating design.<br>It is exposing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weak UX was always:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Overly complex<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poorly structured<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dependent on guesswork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focused on deliverables over outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>AI accelerates all of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your thinking is shallow, AI will scale bad decisions faster.<br>If your thinking is strong, AI becomes a multiplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the dividing line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The New Role of UX: System Thinking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2026, UX is no longer about static screens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is about systems that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adapt to users in real time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn from behavior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guide decisions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce cognitive load<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Interfaces are becoming fluid.<br>Experiences are becoming dynamic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designers are no longer drawing a single path.<br>They are defining how a system behaves across infinite paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Still Matters (And Matters More Than Ever)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As execution gets automated, the value of UX shifts to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Judgment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowing what should exist and what should not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Prioritization<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Reducing complexity instead of adding to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Decision Design<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Helping users take the right action at the right time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Context Awareness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding user intent, not just user behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Systems Thinking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Designing how everything connects, adapts, and evolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are not things AI replaces.<br>These are things AI depends on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Designers Who Will Struggle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ones who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Define themselves by tools<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus only on outputs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait for requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid business and product thinking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They are optimizing for a layer that is disappearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Designers Who Will Win<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The ones who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Think in systems, not screens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use AI as a collaborator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus on outcomes, not artifacts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand behavior, data, and decision-making<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move closer to product and strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They are designing the future of how products work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This Is Not a Threat.
